Icecycle Pop

A friend of mine from the eastern part of the state sent me this picture from her hometown. She is one of the lucky ones... they got their power turned back on after hours... most of the town has been without power for days! The ice is breaking power lines, trees, caving in roofs, etc. Although it was the same storm system, they got more ice than we did. Ours was a combo snow/sleet. This weekend its in the forecast to get more snow/sleet and even more intense than this last storm.

Be safe Kristen!

It snowed here for just a bit today. I have to admit, it was pretty, but I'm not looking forward to more of it.. What's up with this?? This is Oklahoma!! Christmas is over, it should be summertime already!

Chica... its true!!! This morning they said it will kick in about 6pm tomorrow evening and finish up on Saturday. We're to expect 6-8 inches of snow!

I guess the upside to that is, it will cover the snotty slick ice... but the down side will be just that much more to melt and the temps are not expected above freezing for at least another week and packed snow eventually turns into ice anyways.

We can't build snowmen... but I guess we could do Igloos!

Wow, that's intense.

I would make that into my Christmas card picture for next year. I mean, if that happened here. And if I made my own cards.

Ahh, one of the beautiful scenic views we are experiencing here! The sad thing is that there are a ton of areas like it. It looks like either a tornado wiped out our trees and kind of like a war zone. It is awful The crazy thing is the roads here are completely dry. Odd!

And so far, I am safe! Thank you!
